Research interests: geothermics, subsurface temperature, distributions in permafrost areas, geothermal monitoring, regional permafrost studies.

PhD thesis: Geothermal conditions of the formation and existence of the cryolithozone in the western part of the Aldan anteclise (1994).

Doctoral dissertation: Geotemperature field and cryolithozone of the Southeastern Siberian Platform (2002).

Field work: permafrost investigations and monitoring in the Altai, Verkhoyansk, Kodar-Udokan and Ile-Alatau mountains.
