Germogen F. Krimsky

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Sci. (Physics and Mathematics), Professor (Yakutsk, Russia).

Research interests: cosmic rays (propagation in the interplanetary and interstellar medium, modulation by the solar wind, acceleration by shock waves).

PhD thesis: Modulation of cosmic rays in interplanetary space (1966).

Doctoral dissertation: Modulation of cosmic rays and dynamic properties of the solar wind" (1974).

Germogen F. Krymsky took an active part in the creation of a ground-underground spectrograph for recording high-energy cosmic rays. Under his supervision, a global survey method was developed, within which the world network of ground installations acted as a single multidirectional device. The application of this method made it possible to make significant progress in the experimental study of variations in the intensity of cosmic rays.

He is the author and co-author of over 300 scientific papers, including 3 monographs, 1 invention.

Supervisor of more than 20 defended candidate dissertations and scientific consultant of 9 doctoral dissertations.
